Questions and Answers — COMMpanion for Organizations

COMMpanion Primary Care is the same high-quality care that your doctor currently provides but tailored to your schedule and, usually, without the trip to the office. Because the PCPs in the COMMpanion Primary Care network are limited to fewer patients than typical PCPs, they are able to take the time to get to know you and your healthcare needs.

COMMpanion Primary Care is an ideal solution for patients who have difficulty reaching their doctor's office; strict work hours; chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes or heart disease, which could benefit from additional support; want a personalized approach to their healthcare and a team to assist them in keeping track of their health throughout the year; or a busy life juggling multiple responsibilities like childcare, eldercare or simply like the flexibility of accessing care on their terms.

No. COMMpanion is a primary care membership that works alongside insurance or independently for employees who may not have coverage. It doesn't cover hospitalizations, specialist care, emergencies, or prescriptions. Many employers offer it as a complement to a high-deductible health plan.

We work with organizations of all sizes. Whether you're covering five employees or five hundred, we can structure a plan that fits. Contact us for details on group pricing.

Yes. You can fully sponsor memberships, partially subsidize them, or offer COMMpanion as a voluntary benefit employees pay for themselves. We'll help you set up the right model.

You receive a single monthly invoice based on the number of enrolled members.

Yes. If your organization covers only part of the membership cost, your employees may be able to use Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) funds for your remaining share.

We provide aggregate utilization data, including enrollment numbers, visit volume, and engagement trends, so you can measure the benefit's impact. All reporting is de-identified and fully HIPAA compliant. We never share individual employee health information with employers.

When an employee's sponsorship ends, we notify them and offer the option to continue their membership at the individual rate. If they wish to continue with us, there is no disruption to their care relationship; they simply take over payment.

Yes. COMMpanion providers are licensed in Pennsylvania, so all members, including any remote employees, must reside in the state and be physically located there during visits.

COMMpanion is designed to serve as the member's primary care provider — not as a secondary or on-demand service. This ensures continuity, avoids conflicting treatments, and gives our providers the full picture they need to deliver safe care.

Regulatory requirements prohibit participants in federal health programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other government-funded programs, from participating in this program. Employees currently enrolled in those programs are not eligible for membership.
